Schubert to speak at forum on session

This forum will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at Brenham Country Club.

Schubert (R-Caldwell) will give a recap of House activities during the 85th Texas legislative sessions held earlier this year.

He will also discuss topics of importance to the district.

The forum will be moderated by Kurt Podeszwa from Camp For All.

Audience members will have the opportunity to submit questions. Questions may also be submitted in advance to news@brenhamtexas.com.

Schubert in 2013 won a special election for the District 13 seat after then-Rep. Lois Kolkhorst (R-Brenham) won an earlier special election for a Texas Senate seat.

He was re-elected to a full term in 2015.

Schubert graduated from Snook High School and Texas A&M University, earning a law degree from the South Texas College of Law in Houston.

After working with the U.S. Department of State, he moved back home to start a law firm on the square in Caldwell.

Tickets to the Nov. 7 forum are $25 per person or $250 for a reserved corporate table. A catered buffet lunch is included.

The deadline to reserve a seat is Oct. 31.
