    AUSTIN - Tieman H. Dippel III, president and chief executive officer at Brenham National Bank, has been elected to the Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT) Services Inc. board of directors.
    As a member of the IBAT Services board, Dippel joins a select group of Texas community bankers charged with recommending products and services for endorsement by IBAT. He will serve a three-year term.
    He brings 15 years of experience in the banking industry. Dippel has been at Brenham National Bank for 13 years.
    Prior to his current position, he served as executive vice president managing retail operations of the bank. Before that, he was as an engagement manager at the bank consulting firm John M. Floyd and Associates.
    In addition to his new role on the IBAT Services Board, Dippel served six years on the IBAT Leadership Division board, including two years as a regional president.
    Active in his community, he currently serves on the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County board and the Brenham Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. Dippel also serves as treasurer of the Economic Development Foundation of Brenham.
    Previously, he served as chairman and first vice chairman of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce board, secretary/treasurer of Baylor Scott & White-Brenham Foundation, president of the Rotary Club of Washington County, and president and vice president of the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County board.
    Dippel also served in the U.S. Navy Reserve for eight years.
    He received a bachelor of business administration degree in finance from Stephen F. Austin University and a master of business administration degree from Texas Tech University.
    Dippel is a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.
